Stay Connected and Fight Fraud with Account Alerts

Tower makes it easy to manage your accounts, both at home and on the go, with account alerts. With fraud on the rise, it's more important than ever to stay connected to your accounts 24/7, so you can be alerted right away if there is any unusual activity on your accounts.

We provide multiple ways to stay on top of your finances; you choose what works best for you.

Set up alerts in digital banking

Account alerts are available in online banking at towerfcu.org and in our App, (available to download in the App Store or Google Play.) Receive real-time alerts. It's up you how you wish to be notified—through push notifications, email, or text messages.1

You can set up account alerts for:

  • Balance update
  • Low balance
  • High balance
  • Large withdrawal
  • Large deposit
  • Check cleared
  • Loan payment due
  • Loan payment overdue
  • Maturity Date (Share Certificates)

To get started, login to online banking and go to Additional Services, Notification Settings or tap More in our App.

Just an arm's length away

You can also monitor your accounts on your Apple or Android Smartwatch. Check account balances, review your last five transactions, and reorder or hide accounts—all from your wrist! If you have an Apple Watch, you can also locate the nearest Tower branch or ATM locations.

Visit our digital banking page for easy setup instructions.

Card alerts and controls

Alerts and controls are also available for your Tower debit and credit cards. Alerts can be selected by merchant, transaction, and location type:

  • Merchant – You can enable/disable specific types of merchants, including supermarkets, department stores, gas stations, entertainment venues, restaurants, and more.
  • Transaction – You can enable/disable specific types of transactions, such as in-store, online, ATM, or phone orders.
  • Location – You can allow transactions that happen only in a certain geographic area. For instance, you can choose to receive alerts for or automatically block foreign transactions.

You can also set spend limits. Receive an alert if a transaction amount is higher than the maximum you have previously set. You can set limits so that larger transactions will be automatically declined as well.

For added protection, you can turn your debit or credit card "on" or "off" in digital banking, if you suspect fraudulent activity, lose your card, or just wish to limit its use.2
To get started, login to online banking and go to Additional Services, or tap More in our App, then Card Controls & Alerts.

Be sure we have your correct contact information

Your alerts will be sent to the phone number or email address we have on file for you. So it's important that your contact information is up-to-date.

To review or update your information, login to digital banking and go to My Profile.

1 Message and data rates may apply.
2 Note: Card controls cannot block recurring transactions, even when your card is turned off.
