63 Freebies to Celebrate Veterans Day—November 11

Many of our members and employee team are proud Veterans, or family members of Veterans, and we want to extend a sincere thank you for your dedication and sacrifice. We stand ready to serve you and your family on Veterans Day and every day!

Here is a list of 63 free offerings that say "thank you" to our nation's Veterans. Most of these deals are only offered on Veterans Day, November 11, unless other dates are noted, and most require a U.S. military or Veteran ID, or Veteran designation on a state-issued driver's license or ID.

Since these deals are always subject to change, it's best to confirm your freebies before heading out. And it can't hurt to check with your favorite local spots to see if they have a special Veterans Day deal not listed here.

3. BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse – Veterans enjoy a free Chocolate Chunk Pizookie dessert with proof of service. Dine-in only.

5. Brugger's Bagels – Free medium fresh-brewed coffee (hot or iced) when Veterans buy a breakfast.

7. California Pizza Kitchen – Free meal and non-alcoholic drink from a special menu Nov. 8-10, both dine-in and takeout for veterans, active-duty military; 20% of all sales on those three days will be donated to Disabled American Veterans.

44. Colonial Williamsburg (Virginia) – Free admission for Veterans, active-duty military, and their families on Veterans Day weekend.
45. Dell Electronics – 10% discount on purchases for Veterans on November 11.
46. Great Clips – Veterans and active-duty military can get a free haircut on November 11, or receive a coupon for one at a later date.
47. Hyatt Hotels – Veterans and military enjoy 10-15% off stays at most locations using code MILVET.
48. Jiffy Lube – Veterans get a free oil change on Veterans Day with valid ID.
49. Kohls – Veterans receive 30% off qualifying purchases during Veterans Day weekend.
50. L.L. Bean – Boosts its year-round 10% discount for Veterans and active-duty military to 15% on November 1-11.
51. National Parks – All U.S. national parks and historic sites managed by the National Park Service will have free admission for all visitors on November 11.
52. Office Depot/Office Max – Get 25% off qualifying purchases from November 9-11.
53. Rack Room Shoes – Enjoy a 10% discount on in-store purchases every Tuesday and a 20% discount every Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veterans Day. Military ID required.

55. Sperry – Get 20% off your purchase with proof of service.
56. Sports Clips – Free haircuts for veterans and active-duty military at select locations.
57. State Parks – Some states, including Maryland, offer free admission to state parks for Veterans year-round. All applicable day-use entrance charges are waived for both resident and out-of-state Veterans. ID is required. Please note that this waiver is applicable to the Veteran only and not others in the same vehicle, unless the admission is a per-vehicle charge. In that case, the per-vehicle fee is waived.
58. Target – Receive a 10% discount covering your full basket, excluding certain items. You can use the discount twice during the promotional period of October 30-November 12. To redeem the offer, guests must verify eligibility by registering here.
59. Veterans Organizations - American Legion, VFW, and similar organizations, as well as churches, Elks lodges, community nonprofits and more, host special breakfasts, lunches and dinners on and around Veterans Day, at which Veterans eat for free. Check local news listings and social media to see what's planned for your area.
60. Walgreens – Get a 20% discount on eligible regular-price items for Veterans, military personnel, and their families in-store at any Walgreens or Duane Reade drug store nationwide with proof of service November 8-11. A myWalgreens account is required, and exclusions apply.
61. Wyndham Hotels – Receive up to a 20% discount through VetRewards for Veterans; active-duty personnel also qualify for discounts and upgrades directly through Wyndham's website.
62. Zips Car Wash - Free "Best" car wash for Veterans and active-duty military on November 11 at participating locations.
63. Zoos – The National Zoo in Washington, D.C. is free to visitors year-round. The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore offers Veterans $15 off individual zoo memberships (regular price is $70). ID is required. Be sure to look at a zoo's website prior to going; advance tickets may be required.

Bonus Tip: Many retailers, including Home Depot and Lowe's, and businesses that offer travel and auto services, have year-round Veteran and military discounts.
