Get Money for College with a TowerCares Scholarship

Calling all college (or college-bound) STEM and Foreign Language Linguistics majors! The TowerCares Foundation is proud to announce its sixth annual College Scholarship Program

This year, we are happy to announce that we have expanded the program and will award up to 30 $5,000 scholarships! 

Who is Eligible to Apply?
The TowerCares Foundation Scholarship Program is open to all current high school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores and juniors, who are enrolled or plan to enroll in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or Foreign Language Linguistics major.

Applicants must also meet the following eligibility requirements*

  • Must attend an accredited U.S. two- or four-year college/university full-time for the 2023-24 academic year.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and reside in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania or Virginia.

The Selection Process
Scholarship entries will be evaluated by an independent selection committee and recipients will be selected based on consideration of the following criteria: 

  • Academic performance 
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of career and educational goals and objectives

Additional consideration will be given to children/dependents of active duty military and veterans from all branches of the Armed Forces, including Reserve and Guard units.

How to Apply
Scholarship entries for the 2023-24 academic year will be accepted April 3, 2023 through May 15, 2023

The scholarship must be used for tuition and tuition-related expenses at accredited, two- or four-year colleges/universities. Award checks will be made payable to the college or university.

The TowerCares Foundation was created in 2015 to support children in need as well as the brave and heroic individuals and their families who sacrificed while protecting our freedom. Since the scholarship program's inception in 2018, the Foundation has awarded $200,000 in scholarships to 40 students.

*TowerCares scholarship winners are not eligible for additional TowerCares scholarships. TowerCares Foundation and Tower Federal Credit Union employees, board members, committee members, and their immediate family members are also ineligible.
