Tower Federal Credit Union Partners with Moveable Feast, Local Companies to Help Fight Hunger and Spread Holiday Cheer
Laurel, MD—Tower Federal Credit Union joined forces with Manekin, Ruppert Landscaping, Incred-A-Shred Recycling, Fidelity Engineering, Focus2Design, and PW Campbell to help feed Maryland’s needy this holiday season. The companies donated over $2,000 to Baltimore’s annual Moveable Feast, a program that prepares and delivers meals and groceries to individuals living with HIV/AIDS, breast cancer and other severe illnesses throughout greater Baltimore and Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
In addition to the financial support, employees of the companies helped prepare and package food, decorate cookies, sort food donations and pack groceries at an event held November 15 to benefit the Moveable Feast program, hosted by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Baltimore/Annapolis City Center and the Building Owners and Managers Association of Greater Baltimore, Inc. (BOMA).
“Tower was happy to be a part of this year’s Moveable Feast,” says Bill Grantham, Vice President of Facilities and Administrative Services for Tower, who helped prepare and package food for delivery. “It was very fulfilling for all involved.”
Tower has a long history of giving back to the communities it serves, Grantham says. Since 1997, Tower has donated over $650,000 to local and national charitable organizations through various events and fundraisers.
