Hats for Heroes Sweepstakes – Official Rules

1. Sponsor

The Hats for Heroes Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") is sponsored by Tower Federal Credit Union, 7901 Sandy Spring Road, Laurel, MD 20707 ("Sponsor").

This Sweepstakes is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with the Baltimore Orioles or Major League Baseball.

2. Eligibility

Open only to legal residents of Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor and their immediate family members or household members are not eligible.

3. No Purchase Necessary

No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning.

4. Sweepstakes Period

The Sweepstakes begins on May 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET) and ends on July 19, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. ET ("Sweepstakes Period").

5. How to Enter

Online Entry: Complete the entry form via QR code or landing page. Limit one entry per person.

Alternate Method of Entry (AMOE): To enter without submitting online, mail a 3" x 5" card with your name, address, email, phone number, and hero nomination to:

Mail-in entries must be postmarked by July 15, 2026 and received by July 18, 2026 to be eligible. Limit one (1) entry per person.

6. Prize

One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded:
  • Opportunity to throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to a 2026 home game of the Baltimore Orioles
  • Two (2) private suite tickets for the same game
Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $1,500

Winner is responsible for all applicable taxes. Sponsor may issue a Form 1099-MISC as required by law.

Prize Conditions

Game Date:
The prize is currently anticipated to be fulfilled in connection with the Baltimore Orioles home game scheduled for August 5, 2026; however, the game date is subject to change. Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate game date in its sole discretion.

Availability Requirement:
Winner must be available to attend the game on the date determined by Sponsor or the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.

Travel & Expenses:
Travel, transportation, lodging, parking, and any other expenses are not included and are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Game Cancellation / Rescheduling:
If the game is canceled, postponed, rescheduled, or otherwise affected by weather, scheduling changes, or any circumstances beyond Sponsor's control, Sponsor reserves the right to reschedule the prize, substitute a prize (or portion thereof) of equal or greater value, or modify the prize as necessary. No additional compensation will be provided.

First Pitch Experience:
The first pitch experience is subject to change, modification, or cancellation at the discretion of the Baltimore Orioles or stadium operations. Sponsor does not guarantee the availability of this portion of the prize.

Prize Fulfillment:
All prize details are subject to availability and Sponsor's final determination.

No Cash Value / Substitution

The prize is non-transferable and may not be sold, assigned, or redeemed for cash. No substitution or cash equivalent is permitted, except at Sponsor's sole discretion.

7. Winner Selection and Notification

One (1) winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. The drawing will occur on or about July 20, 2026. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Winner will be notified via email and/or phone and must respond within five (5) days or an alternate winner may be selected.

8. Documentation / Event Requirements

Winner must provide requested information for prize fulfillment, including advance submission of full legal name for themselves and any guest as required by stadium security policies.

Winner and guest(s) must present valid government-issued identification at check-in.

Failure to comply may result in forfeiture of the prize.

9. Publicity & Content Use

By entering, participants grant Sponsor and its designees the right to use their name, likeness, city/state of residence, and any submitted text, photos, or other content for advertising, promotional, and marketing purposes in any media, worldwide, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. Participants and the nominated individual will each be required to sign a general publicity release.

Participants represent and warrant that they have all necessary rights to any submitted content and that it does not infringe on any third-party rights.

By submitting a nomination, entrant represents and warrants that:
  • They have obtained permission from the nominated individual ("hero")
  • The hero has consented to the submission and potential public use of their name, story, and likeness

11. General Conditions

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity of the Sweepstakes.

Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.

12. Release & Limitation of Liability

By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor, the Baltimore Orioles, MLB, and their affiliates from any claims arising out of participation or prize use.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

This Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any disputes arising out of or relating to this Sweepstakes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maryland closest to Sponsor's home office. Entrants waive any right to pursue any class action claims.
