Last Call for TowerCares Scholarship Applications

Hurry! The deadline for submitting an application for the 2022-2023 TowerCares Foundation College Scholarship Program is May 16, 2022. This year, the Foundation has expanded the program and will award 15 $5,000 scholarships! Click here to register and apply. Only online applications will be accepted. Details.

The scholarship program is open to all current high school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores and juniors, who are enrolled or plan to enroll in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or Foreign Language Linguistics major. Additional consideration will be given to children/dependents of active duty military and Veterans from all branches of the Armed Forces, including Reserve and Guard units.

Applicants must also meet the following eligibility requirements*:

  • Must attend an accredited U.S. two- or four-year college/university full-time for the 2022-23 academic year.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and reside in Maryland, the District of Columbia, Pennsylvania or Virginia.
  • Applicant is not a previous TowerCares scholarship winner.

The Selection Process
Scholarship entries will be evaluated by an independent selection committee and recipients will be selected based on consideration of the following criteria.

  • Academic performance
  • Demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of career and educational goals and objectives

The scholarship must be used for tuition and tuition-related expenses at accredited, two- or four-year colleges/universities. Award checks will be made payable to the college or university.

The TowerCares Foundation was created in 2015 to support children in need as well as brave and heroic individuals and their families who sacrificed while protecting our freedom. Since the scholarship program’s inception in 2018, the Foundation has awarded $125,000 in college scholarships.
