Tower Earns Great Place to Work® Certification—Four Years in a Row!

The credit union has received recognition for the fourth year in a row by the independent analysts at Great Place to Work®, an industry leader on quantifying employee experience.

[Laurel, MD]—For the fourth year in a row, Tower Federal Credit Union has been named a “great workplace” by the independent analysts at Great Place to Work® (GPTW). Richard Stafford, Tower’s President and CEO, credits Tower’s outstanding team of employees and the credit union’s member-focused, people-oriented culture as the reason for the recognition.

“Even in the midst of a global health crisis, we never wavered from supporting our over 200,000 members and meeting their financial needs during a time when they needed us most,” Stafford said. “Our outstanding team members are the reason why Tower is such a great place to work. I’m especially proud of the service excellence, teamwork, kindness and empathy our employees have demonstrated throughout the pandemic. This GPTW designation is a reflection of the comradery, collaboration and partnership inherent in Tower’s culture.”

Tower earned the GPTW credential based on extensive ratings provided by employees who participated in anonymous voluntary surveys. Employees cited a welcoming work atmosphere, flexible schedules, the ability to take time off when needed, high retention rates, excellent benefits and opportunities for advancement amongst the top reasons why Tower is a great place to work.

Again this year, one of the credit union’s highest survey scores centered around Tower’s philanthropic work environment and commitment to giving back to the local community, most notably through the TowerCares Foundation, which helps local military, Veterans and children in need.

“Giving back to the community has always been important to Tower, and our employees are ardent supporters of TowerCares and its mission to help local military heroes and children in need,” Stafford said. “It is truly an honor to lead this incredible organization comprised of such a dedicated and caring group of people. This recognition by GPTW is a testament to their commitment to helping our members build a stronger future—and to helping each other—in a time of need.”
