Expecting a tax refund this year? Don’t wait around for Uncle Sam; get your money faster when you direct deposit your refund to your Tower account. It’s easy, safe and free.
Arrives faster than paper checks
With direct deposit, your tax refund is sent to your Tower account the day the payment is issued. No waiting around for a check to show up in your mailbox or, even worse, to find out that the check was stolen or lost. The money is sent electronically, and deposited even if you can’t make it to a branch. Then, you can access your funds at over 47,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide.
It’s easy to do
Setting up direct deposit of your federal and state tax refund is easy:
- Fill in Tower’s nine-digit routing number—255077370—in the appropriate section on your state and federal tax returns. You can also always find Tower’s routing number in the top-right corner of our Web site at towerfcu.org.
- Check the box designating the account to receive the direct deposit tax refund (checking or savings).
- Fill in your Tower 10-digit checking or up to six-digit Prime Share account number. Please DO NOT add the 00 to the end of your member number—the correct format is member number only.
- Our address is: Tower Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 123, Annapolis Junction, MD 20701
Split your refund and save
You can split your tax refund between your Prime Share and checking account. Spend some now and save the rest. You designate how much to deposit in each account. Fill out IRS Form 8888, Allocation of Refund—available at www.irs.gov—and include it with your federal tax return. This option is not available for most state tax refunds.
